Box Score Monmouth couldn't overcome the solid defense and hot shooting of St. Norbert in an 83-40 loss in Wisconsin.
The Scots fell behind early as St. Norbert was firing on all cylinders, posting at 24-7 lead at the end of the first period. Early on, the Green Knights sought to set a precedent in the paint scoring 38 of their 83 points from inside.
In the second half, the Knight looked outside to knock down 50 percent of their threes and push the lead.
St. Norbert was able to creep into passing lanes and force 24 turnovers. Turnovers quickly led to points for the Knights who capitalized on the opportunity with 45 points.
For the Scots, freshman
Joanna Chavoya came off the bench to lead the way with 9 points and 2 rebounds. The Fighting Scots bench managed to produced 20 points.
