BROOKS SCORES EARLY, NEAGLE TURNS IN 14-SAVE PERFORMANCE

Box Score Monmouth scored first, but couldn't hold on in the second half of a 4-1 loss at Coe.

Playing nearly even through the first half the Scots fired off seven shots, scoring on  Darice Brooks' sixth goal of the year. Brooks broke the ice for the Scots, taking a Megan Altfillisch pass and slipping it past the Kohawks' keeper for a 1-0 Monmouth lead in the 28th minute.

Monmouth's lead was short-lived when Coe knotted the score with an unassisted goal eight minutes later as the teams entered halftime deadlocked 1-1.

The Kohawks inched ahead near the 60th minute and added insurance scores in the 74th minute and as the final minute wound down.

Scots' keeper Nicole Neagle posted a 14-save effort as the Kohawks put 18 of their 25 shots on goal.
