Box Score Even with a solid defensive effort, only allowing three Beloit shots on goal, Monmouth came up just short in a 1-0 loss on Family Weekend.
 
The defenses ruled, allowing just three shots on goal each and the Scots were unable to capitalize on an 11-3 advantage in corner kicks while the Bucs took care of a loose ball for the win.
 
With four minutes remaining in regulation Beloit's Isaiah Turner Wyatt slipped in the unassisted winning goal. The Fighting Scots rallied around a well-placed corner kick in the final minutes but could not capitalize on the opportunity.
 
The Scots will play non-conference opponent Dubuque University on their home turf, Peacock Memorial Athletic Park, on Wednesday at 4pm.
