Box Score Monmouth's first two shots of the game found the back of the net en route to a 2-0 win at Central.
 
Zeb Soignier scored his third goal in Monmouth's last two games to give the Scots an early lead. Soignier headed the shot in off of Sebastian Heretyk's free kick in the 15^th minute.
 
The Scots got an insurance goal less than 15 minutes later when Connor Oltman scored his first goal of the season. Adam Stenzel fed Oltman on a free kick as Monmouth jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead.
 
Central fired off 11 second half shots, but was stoned by Chase Stroud who turned in nine saves to give Monmouth their third win of the season.
 
Monmouth will open Midwest Conference play Saturday at 3:30 when they host Beloit at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
