Box Score Monmouth got on the board quickly, but couldn't hang on in a 3-1 road loss to Augustana.

The Scots' Luke Vandenberg took a feed from Zeb Soignier in the fifth minute to jump on top of the Vikings 1-0. The Vikings answered the early tally with a goal in the 19th minute as both teams began to clamp down defensively.

Augustana broke through with the go-ahead score in the 69th minute and added an insurance goal 11 minutes later to send the Scots home with a loss.

Chase Stroud returned in goal for Monmouth, recording five saves.
