Box Score Monmouth got another solid goalkeeping performance, but couldn't pull out a win on the road, dropping a 2-0 decision at Marian (Wis.).
 
Charles Powell turned aside seven shots, but the Sabres slipped one past the sophomore keeper in traffic in the 10^th minute for the only goal they would need. Marian added an insurance goal on a Penalty Kick early in the second half for the win.
 
The Scots fired off nine shots, three by Zeb Soignier, but couldn't get one in the back of the net.
 
Monmouth will play at Augustana on Tuesday.
