Box Score Monmouth got a stellar goalkeeping effort off the bench from Charles Powell, but were unable to overcome a 2-0 deficit in a road loss to Concordia (Wis.).

Concordia scored on a one-timer in the box in the eighth minute for all the scoring they would need at home. Monmouth's defense kept Concordia out of the net for the next 30 minutes before a Penalty Kick made it a 2-0 deficit in the 40th minute.

Monmouth put 75 percent of their shots on goal, but was unable to find the back of the net.

Powell stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced as Monmouth's keepers turned aside 14 shots in the contest.

Monmouth will play at Marian (Ind.) Sunday at 1:30.
