Box Score Austin Holman's bucket in the final minute gave Monmouth a double digit lead for the second time of the night as Monmouth shook off a stubborn Knox team 89-77 Wednesday night.

Neither team could open much of a margin in the game as the teams traded the lead throughout the first half. Trailing 32-31 with 2:02 left in the first half,
Ross Langlois' two free throws gave the Scots a lead they would not relinquish.
Jon Calhoun added a bucket just before halftime to push the Scots ahead 35-32.

Monmouth's lead grew to nine at 45-36 when
Reed Goodbred scored at the 16:11 mark on his way to a 10-point night. Knox cut the margin to six at 81-75 with 2:09 to play, but missed four straight shots in the final minute as the Scots'
Lamont Mitchell canned a pair of free throws in the final 30 seconds to ice the game and finish with 10 points.

Will Jones added a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.
