Jones pumped in a game-high 29 points in the game that saw 15 lead changes and eight ties. Beloit twice climbed to eight-point leads in the first half, but the Scots refused to go away, trailing by one, 39-38 at the half.

Riley Blea's steal and layup to open the second half quickly gave the Scots' the advantage in a back-and-forth second half. Neither team could gain more than a three-point lead until Jones' bucket started a 22-8 run. A Jones' bucket-and-one with 8:58 left put the Scots ahead 65-55 for the first double-digit lead of the game by either team.

Monmouth's lead grew to 13 on
Justin Aluya's layup with 5:15 to play as the Scots held off the Bucs in the final minute by sinking five free throws. Beloit canned a 3-pointer with a second left to trim their losing margin to four.
