Riley Blea were named to the All-Tournament team at the Wartburg Tip-Off Tournament after leading the Scots to the tourney title.
Playing comeback kids in back-to-back games, the men of Fighting Scots basketball would wait until the final minutes of the first half to hold a lead and then never look back taking the Wartburg tournament 82-74 in the championship game over the host Knights.
Early in the outing, the Knights of Wartburg opened on an 11-0 run. Slowly the Scots would chip away at the lead. Sophomore off guard,
Riley Blea did much of the chipping with four-three point baskets. Senior point guard

Will Jones helped push the resurging Scots.
The first half rebounding battle went in the Scots direction, favoring the men in red and white 16-12. The turnover margin was even closer, but it would be the Fighting Scots who would capitalize on takeaways at the other posting 15 points off turnovers alone.
Once the Scots took the lead, they never looked back. Jones and Blea each eclipsed the 20 point mark. Calhoun pitched in 13 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds.
On the glass, the Scots managed to win the battle of the boards again.
A pair of
Matt Juhola free-throws, following a huge offensive board, pushed the Scots to an insurmountable lead. The Knights would continue to foul and the Scots would continue to capitalize from the line, hitting all eight of their tosses in the final minute.
After Thanksgiving, the Scots (3-0) will open Midwest Conference play with defending conference champ, St. Norbert.
