Box Score Monmouth never got their shooting warmed up in a 76-62 loss at Cornell.

Despite shooting just 17-of-63 from the floor, the Fighting Scots stayed within striking distance of Cornell until the Rams used a 10-3 run midway through the second half to open up an 18-point lead at 58-40. Four striaght free throws by Paige Nord and a 3-pointer from Tiffany Churchill trim Monmouth's hole to 63-49 with 6:40 left but the Rams countered with a three and two free throws to inch backto a 17-point margin.

Nord finished with a team-high 15 poitns and four blocked shots while Churchill pumped in 12, making all four of her 3-point tries. Kathleen Forrest rounded out the double digit scoring with 11 points.

The Scots will be back in action Thursday when they host Beloit before entertaining Ripon on Saturday.
