Box Score Chizobam Nkemeh netted the only goal in a 1-0 win for the Scots over visiting Millikin.
 
The team slugged it out through a scoreless first half, firing a combined eight shots in the first 45 minutes.
 
The Scots counter-attacked after the Big Blue took a pair of misses as the game entered the 73^rd minute. Nkemeh finished the counter with an unassisted score in the 75^th minute.
 
Monmouth's defense kept the Big Blue at bay, allowing just two shots over the final 15 minutes as Luke Cogan made two of his 10 saves down the stretch.
