Box Score Scoring opportunities were few and far between  in a 2-0 Aurora win over Monmouth in the opener for both teams.
 
The Spartans scored in the 34^th minute and made that stand up as the Scots defense clamped down in the second half, allowing just three shots on goal. Aurora tacked on an insurance goal in the 59^th minute.
 
Starting his first game in goal for the Scots, Luke Cogan turned aside six shots. Monmouth put three shots on goal, including a 20 yard blast from Josh Sutherland in the waning minutes.
