Box Score The Fighting Scots stayed close, but No. 3 UW-Whitewater pulled away in the second half to down the Scots 74-54.

Monmouth came out firing in the first half, taking an 11-2 lead when Jon Calhoun drained a 3-pointer, Reed Goodbred added a pair of free throws and Andrew Mathison threw down a dunk  and scored six points in the game's first four minutes. Whitewater then inched back, using a 13-2 run late in the first half to climb to a 31-24 halftime lead.

Whitewater then slowly pulled away in the second half as Mathison finished with 10 points and WIll Jones dumped in a team-high 15.
