Box Score Monmouth rallied from 15 down in the first half to post a 72-68 win, giving head coach
Katie Marcella her first win as a Fighting Scot.

Tiffany Churchill drained a 3-pointer with 2:52 left in the first half to ignite the rally, cutting the Eagles lead to 30-18.
Katie Houston – who finished with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds – then forced a Benedictine turnover and scored on an and-one to pull Monmouth to within single digits. Churchill completed the first half rally draining another trey with a second left in the half as Monmouth entered the locker room trailing 32-29.

The Scots eventually took the lead at the 14:23 mark of the second half when Churchill hit her third 3-pointer of the night on her way to a 12-point night. Monmouth put on another run with 4:54 left when
Maddie Dohleman canned a jumper in the paint on her way to an 11-point night. A pair of free throws by
Paige Nord edged Monmouth to a 68-56 lead before the Eagles came back.

A trey by Benedictine's Vincenza Ranallo cut their deficit to 70-67 with 1:25 remaining, but that would be as close as the Eagles would get as Dohelman hit a pair of critical free throws with 18 seconds left to give Monmouth a five point lead.

The Scots had rebounded from a cold shooting night in their opener last Saturday to sink 22 of 48 shots from the floor.
