Box Score A night after the Monmouth women's soccer team won on a late goal at Illinois College, the Fighting Scots men repeated the trick to move into third place in the Midwest Conference standings.

Josh Sutherland's blast from 30 yards out sailed over the Blueboys' keeper in a 1-0 Monmouth win. The teams had slugged through 86 minutes without either mounting a threat until Sutherland scored the game-winner.

Illinois College outshot the Scots 10-5 with each putting one shot on goal.
