Box Score Monmouth slipped into a tie for third in the Midwest Conference with Carroll after the Pioneers clipped the Scots 3-1 Saturday at Peacock Memorial Athletic Park.
 
The Scots' string of shutout minutes ended at 407 when Carroll scored their first goal of the match in the 11^th minute of action. The Pioneers kept firing away, logging two more second half goals in the 60^th and 70^th minutes before the Scots got on the board.
 
Chizobam Nkemeh netted the Scots' lone goal off a penalty kick in the 77^th minute, but that was all the scoring for the Scots.
 
Monmouth put eight of their 10 shots on goal while the Pioneers took 17 shots, placing 11 on goal as Monmouth's Luke Cogan recorded eight saves.
