Box Score Monmouth vaulted to second in the Midwest Conference standings with a 1-0 win over Lake Forest, the Scots' third straight 1-0 victory.
 
The Fighting Scots racked up their record fourth straight shutout and extended their unbeaten string to five after a defensive struggle at Peacock Park. Luke Vandenberg scored his second goal of the season when Brad Dulee fed him in  front of the goal mouth. Vandenberg's shot then hit the far post and crawled in for the game-winner.
 
The teams combined for just nine shots and Monmouth's only shot on goal proved to be the lone tally for the day. Monmouth hasn't given up a goal in nearly 400 minutes of play.
