Box Score Monmouth ran their shutout string to a school-record three matches and increased their unbeaten streak to four matches with a 1-0 win over Lawrence to stay locked in third in the Midwest Conference.
 
Chizobam Nkemeh scored his team-best fifth goal off a pass from Max Daniels in the 86^th minute for the winner. The win followed a 1-0 win at Illinois College on Thursday. The Scots also scored their lone goal in that game in the 86^th minute.
 
On Saturday, the Scots and Vikings battled through a scoreless first half as both teams' defensives kept opportunities to a minimum. Nkemeh broke the scoreless tie, heading in Daniels' feed after Monmouth worked deep inside Lawrence territory down the stretch.
 
With four games to go, the Scots have bettered last year's win total and have three of their final four games at home.
