Box Score Monmouth maintained a strong standing in the Midwest Conference race with an 85-65 win at Beloit.

The Scots never trailed, jumping out to a 10 point lead on a 3-pointer from Kathleen Forrest eight minutes into the game. Behind Forrest's 19 points and Marla Willard's 19 points and 13 rebounds, the Scot held a double-digit lead for nearly the rest of the game.

Willard moved by Zipporah Williams on the all-time rebounds list. The senior vaulted to the No. 2 rebounder all-time with 811, passing Williams (808) and Penny Rowan (809).

The Scots win, coupled with Cornell's win at St. Norbert and Lake Forest's road win against Illinois College has created a logjam with six teams within two games of one another in the race for four MWC tournament berths. Cornell and St. Norbert are tied for first at 9-2 while Monmouth and Illinois College are knotted for second at 8-3. Carroll and Ripon are also in the chase at 7-4.
