Box Score Monmouth couldn't erase a nine point halftime deficit in a 71-56 loss at Cornell.

The Rams broke open a low-scoring game with an 11-4 run in the last four minutes of the first half to take a 30-21 lead at intermission. Andrew Mathison's layup at the five minute mark was followed by three unanswered buckets by Cornell as each team labored through a cold-shooting first half.

Cole Jackson hit the Scots' first shot of the second half on his way to a 13-point night, but the Rams countered by making their first five shots of the half as part of a 12-2 run to build a double-digit lead.
