Outshot 33-4, Chris Franco made the most of his chances, blasting a shot past the Pioneers' keeper inthe 41st minute to knot the game at 1-1. Franco's goal came just five minutes after the Pioneers had taken a 1-0 lead.

Carroll won in OT when their fourth shot of the period got by MC keeper Matt Schmidt. Schmidt had turned aside 15 shots prior to the game-ender.
