Box Score Allie DeArvils' goal in the ninth minute nearly held up, but Lake Forest forged a doulbe overtime tie to keep the Scots from taking the outright lead in the Midwest Conference.
Lauren Kellen found DeArvil open in the first half as the Scots jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead. The Foresters came back with a goal of their own in the 73rd minute to knot the game at 1-1. That's where it stayed for the rest of regulation and two overtime periods.
Lake Forest outshot the Scots 25-12 and had a 7-4 advantage in the two extra sessions, but Samantha Barranco's 10 saves kept the game tied.
With two games left, the Scots are locked with Grinnell for the MWC lead with 19 points each. Grinnell has one game left and will play St. Norbert - currently third - tomorrow while the Scots play at Carroll Sunday and host Knox next Saturday.
