Box Score Monmouth and St. Norbert played nearly even through the first 30 minute before the Green Knights pulled out a 64-52 win over the Scots.
The teams traded the lead throughout the first half as St. Norbert held a 29-26 lead at the break. Wes DeClerqc buried a 3-pointer with three minutes left in the first half on his way to a team-high 14 points to pull Monmouth to within one at 27-26 before the Knights scored the last bucket of the half a minute later to the halftime margin.
St. Norbert never trailed in the second half, but the Scots stayed within single digits until St. Norbert canned a pair of threes and added  two buckets midway through the last half.
Trailing 60-45 with 3:54 to go, Monmouth didn’t allow the Knights another field goal, but St. Norbert responded making 4-of-6 free throws in the final two minutes to hold off the Scots.
