Men's Basketball drops wild one with Beloit

Box Score Monmouth led for all but a few minutes of regulation before falling 74-67 in double overtime to Beloit.
A pregame technical issued to Beloit gave Monmouth an early 2-0 lead, but the Bucs battled back, taking their first lead of the game with 4:14 left after the Scots had built an 11 point first half lead. The teams traded the lead down the stretch as Monmouth’s Wes Dukeman hit a pair of free throws with 1:23 left in regulation to tie the game enter the first overtime tied at 55-55 after neither team scored in the remainder of the second half.
The teams had the same scenario in the first OT when Beloit’s bucket with 1:11 left knotted the game at 63-63 and both teams failed to gain a lead. Beloit took advantage in the second overtime, hitting a pair of buckets in the paint to take a four point lead. With less than two minutes left.
Mike DeDecker scored a team high 16 for Monmouth before fouling out. Jon Calhoun added 10 and Wes Dukeman logged a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
