Box Score Monmouth College moved into fourth place in the Midwest Conference men’s soccer standings with a 1-0 overtime win at Illinois College Thursday night.
Tony Swierczewski scored his second goal of the season, hitting the game-winner in the 98th minute. Swierczewski put three shots on goal as the Scots moved to 2-1-1 in league play. Matt Schmidt stopped nine shots in goal for Monmouth as Illinois College fired 17 times at the Scots’ keeper.
