Box Score After a slow start, the Fighting Scots caught fire and rolled to a 3-0 record to win their annual Invitational at Glennie Gym.
The Scots posted a 3-0 win over Rockford in the opener and had to rally early to clip Principia to advance to the title match. Chelsey Widdop threw down a dozen kills against Principia as the Scots dominated the second set 25-14.
Monmouth spread the wealth in the title tilt agaisnt Lincoln Christian. Widdop posted a team-best 13 kills, followed by Elyse Slezak's 11 and Mackenzie Gillund's 10 as the Scots edged LCU 3-1.
