Yocum named preseason All-American by BSN

The Beyond Sports College Network (BSN) has named Monmouth College running back Trey Yocum (Bushnell, Ill./Bushnell-Prairie City) a preseason All-American as the record-setting running back prepares for his junior season.
Yocum, a 5-foot-10, 195 pounder, was named to the honorable mention list after scoring a school-record 21 rushing touchdowns last season. With 30 career rushing TDs he is just three running scores from the record shared by Ron Baker and Charlie Corle. Corle set the original mark from 1967-69 and Baker matched the number six years later. Yocum’s 32 total touchdowns are 11 behind Mike Blodgett’s career total record of 43 times finding the end zone.
The hard-running Yocum set or tied five Fighting Scots records in 2011. He holds the high water mark with 140 points scored in a season and turned in eight games of 100 or more yards rushing, tying Baker’s mark set in 1974.
A business major, Yocum is the son of Kerry and Shawna Yocum.
