Box Score Monmouth never trailed in a 56-51 nail-biter at Ripon.
Ranked No. 23 in the nation, the Fighting Scots ran off their 10^th straight win, but had to hold off a stubborn Red Hawk team down the stretch. Monmouth held a 10-point edge twice late in the second half before Ripon rallied, forcing three consecutive Monmouth turnovers to pull within four at 50-46.
Kaley Corban’s jumper with two minutes left gave Monmouth a little breathing room. She then followed her bucket with a steal, feeding Colleen Forrest for a layup as Monmouth’s lead climbed back to eight at 54-46. Zipporah Williams then iced the game with a pair of free throws in the final eight seconds to keep the Scots’ win streak alive.
Forrest led the Scots with 13 points, nine on three pointers in the second half.
