Adam Taylor joined the Fighting Scots football team as a defensive line coach in July 2026.
Prior to his time at Monmouth, Taylor coached at Knox as the defensive line coach and defensive recruiting coordinator for the 2025 season. He was the defensive line coach and graduate assistant at Concordia Wisconsin for the 2023 and 2024 seasons while also serving as head coach of the JV team. At CUW, Taylor coached two All Conference defensive ends and one All-Region selection in DT Marquinton Sellers. their first All-Region DL player in a decade.
He started his coaching career in 2002 at Cactus High School in Glendale, Arizona. With Cactus, Taylor was the freshman defensive line coach, the JV offensive coordinator and a defensive and offensive line assistant coach for varsity. The 2022 team was the Arizona 5A State runner up.
A native of Glendale, Taylor graduated from Cactus High School before playing at Concordia Wisconsin. He was a National Football Foundation Scholar Athlete in 2017, a two-time All-District 1st Team selection, a Down Under Sports: Arizona All-State selection and a team captain.
In college, Taylor played both offensive and defensive line for the Falcons. He was a team captain, recipient of the Pancake Award and also earned COSIDA /CSC Academic All-District and Scholar Athlete recognition.
Taylor earned his B.A. in Sports Entertainment and Business in 2021 and a Masters in Student Personnel and Administration of Higher ED in 2024, both from Concordia Wisconsin
Taylor currently lives in Galesburg, IL with his girlfriend Maliah and their dog Zena.
