Bob Foster has served as the Fighting Scots’ Head Athletic Trainer since joining the college in 1999.
Foster, who earned his Bachelor's in athletic training at Eastern Illinois University in the spring of 1997, has a close working relationship with Monmouth’s more than 400 student-athletes participating in 20 varsity sports.
Born and raised in Illinois, Foster grew up in nearby Galesburg. He quickly developed a love of sports and turned that passion into a successful career. His duties include the evaluation, prevention and rehabilitation of athlete’s injuries.
Foster received the American Heart Association Life Saver Award in 2014 for his actions during a summer basketball game which helped save the life of a high school student-athlete.
Foster and his wife Anje live in Galesburg with their three children, Grant, Megan and Luke. Grant is a current member of the Monmouth golf team while Luke is on the Monmouth swim team.
