Dan Nolan

Dan Nolan is no stranger to Monmouth College. After spending 12 years covering the Scots for the local radio station, Nolan joined the college in 1999 where he served in the communications office as the Assistant Director of the News Bureau and Sports Information co-Director. He took over as the head of the Sports Information Office in 2007 and added the duties of assistant softball coach in 2011.

The Scots' pitching coach is a longtime resident of Monmouth and was a co-founder of a local ASA team. He has been coaching softball at some level for more than 30 years, getting his start in Brighton, Ill., where he logged two Khoury League state titles.

Softball always seems to find its way to Nolan in some form. Now in his third term as a Monmouth Park District commissioner, he oversees the district’s ball diamonds and schedules their usage by local teams and leagues. Softball has been such a big part of the Nolan family, you can find a home plate in his garage.

Nolan resides in Monmouth just a few blocks from campus with his wife Kay. The couple has one adult daughter.
