Chad Braun

Chad Braun serves as the head men’s tennis coach.

Braun has raised the bar when it comes to success for the Fighting Scots men's tennis program. His 2006 squad set the school record with 22 dual match victories and his 2011 squad nearly equaled the mark with 20 wins. Under Braun's direction, the Scots have finished second in the Midwest Conference three times since 2009, their highest finishes since winning the team title in 1938. In 2011 he was named the conference’s Coach of the Year.

Braun helped resurrect the tennis program which returned to intercollegiate competition in 2002-03 after a 10-year layoff. The program boasts an outstanding $1 million outdoor facility and the $22 million Huff Athletic Center, which features four indoor courts and provides student-athletes the opportunity to play year-round.

Braun earned his master’s degree in physical education/sports management from Western Illinois University. He resides in Monmouth with his wife Jen and their four children.
