The Monmouth College track and field team has three qualifiers for this week's Division III NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships. Senior
Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) qualified in both discus and hammer while junior
Jillian Toth (El Paso, Illinois) is also in hammer and junior
Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) qualified in shot put.
Boley qualified fifth in the discus with a PR throw of 49.06m from the Viking Olympics at Augustana on April 5. She also qualified ninth in the hammer throw with a PR of 53.96m at the Augustana Meet of Champions on April 17. This will be the third trip to a NCAA Championships event for Boley. She finished 11th in the discus at the outdoor championships in 2023 and had two top-12 finishes at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March. A 13-time Midwest Conference champion, Boley ranks second in MC history in both the discus and hammer.
Braun qualified 19th in the shot put with a PR throw of 13.85m last week at Augustana's Last Chance Qualifier. The throw ranks fourth in Monmouth history and was a PR by nearly a full meter. Braun finished second to Boley in shot put at both the 2025 MWC Outdoor and 2025 MWC Indoor Championships.
Toth qualified 13th in the hammer throw with a PR of 53.77m at the Viking Olympics at Augustana on April 5. At the time her throw was second in MC history and current ranks third. She topped 50 meters in six events this season, including each of the last five. Toth finished second to Boley at the hammer throw at the MWC Outdoor Championships and was also second in the weight throw at the MWC Indoor Championships.
The 2025 NCAA Championships are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Boley will compete in the discus on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT while Braun throws shot put on Friday at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT. Boley and Toth throw in the hammer on Saturday at 11 a.m.ET/10 a.m. CT to finish the event and track season.
