The Monmouth College men's golf teams played the first round of the two-day Blueboy Invite on Thursday at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield. The event is hosted by Illinois College and is the first of two events for the Fighting Scots this weekend. 

Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) led the Scots with a 4-over 76 on Thursday and he is currently tied for 23rd place, seven shots off the lead. Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) who won last weekend's seven with a 71, shot a 7-over 79 and is tied for 35th place. 

Grant Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) is tied for 53rd with an 11-over 83 while Carter Wilson shot an 88 to tie for 65th place. Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) shot a 98 and is in 76th place after the first round. 

The Scots shot 326 as a team and sit in12th place out of 15 teams. Round two is set for Friday while the Scots will play in Galesburg at the Knox Invite on Saturday and Sunday.
