During Homecoming weekend festivities Oct. 4-5, Monmouth College will induct three new members into its M Club Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony for women's soccer goalkeeper Samantha Barranco '14 track and field All-American Allison Devor '13 Â and baseball standout Beau Hellman '03 will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Huff Athletic Center fieldhouse. All three will then participate in the Homecoming Parade and be honored before the kickoff of the 2 p.m. football game against Illinois College.
Samantha Barranco '14- Women's Soccer
There wasn't a Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year award when Samantha Barranco began her Monmouth soccer career, but the Fighting Scots goalkeeper surely would've won it, in addition to all the other honors she accumulated during her outstanding career.
Barranco burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2010 with the first of her four consecutive first-team All-MWC honors, earning the league's Defensive Player of the Year. She helped the Scots secure a playoff berth on the season's final day, making a spectacular save on a penalty kick in the final moments to preserve a 1-0 victory in a must-win game.
Barranco's heroics continued, as she earned All-North Region honors her junior and senior seasons and led the Scots to the 2013 MWC title game. In all, the two-year captain played 6,656 minutes with an .815 save percentage, posting 38 victories and 27 shutouts, all school goalkeeping records. Monmouth made the playoffs in three of her four seasons.

Allison Devor '13 - Track & Field
At the 2013 NCAA outdoor track and field championships, Allison Devor set Monmouth's hammer throw record at 190'10 – a mark that, at the time of her induction, still stands by a wide margin.
Just two inches behind the national champion, it was the second runner-up finish ofÂ
Devor's senior year, as she placed second in the weight throw at the NCAA indoor meet. Monmouth had a fifth-place team finish at the latter meet, the highest in program history.
In all, Devor claimed eight All-American honors, adding two fourths and placing seventh four times.Â
Devor also holds the Scots' record in the weight throw (62'2-1/2), an event in which she posted nine of the top 10 marks in school history. Additionally, she was among the Scots' top 10 performers on both shot put honor rolls and the discus, ranking second in the indoor shot put. At MWC meets, Devor captured nine titles and was a four-time Most Outstanding Performer.

Beau Hellman '03 - Baseball
In 2003, as Monmouth won its third straight Midwest Conference South Division baseball title, the Fighting Scots had the South's Player of the Year and its Pitcher of the Year. One player earned both those honors – Beau Hellman.
Hellman batted .313 and starred on the mound, posting a 6-1 record and a 2.11 ERA. For that extraordinary double duty, he earned an All-Midwest Region selection.
The versatile Hellman's biggest contributions to Monmouth's diamond success came the year before, as he helped the Scots to within one win of the College World Series. He posted a career-best .895 OPS to go with team highs of 46 hits and 33 runs.
Hellman was a first-team All-South pick every year, bookended by selections as a pitcher his freshman and senior seasons. He was also honored as a shortstop and second baseman. At the time of his induction, Hellman was in the Scots' career top 10 for runs, assists, games and at-bats.
