The Monmouth College women's soccer team fell 7-0 at Lake Forest on Saturday. The Scots (3-8-3, 1-3-1) gave up five goals in the first half in the conference loss.
Lake Forest scored the opening goal in the 19th minute and made it 2-0 in the 27th minute. They scored three goals in nine minutes to lead 5-0 at the break.Â
The Foresters scored twice in the second half with a goal in the 55th minute and the final goal in the 69th minute.Â
Danielle Beach (Geneseo, Illinois) had Monmouth's lone shot on goal while
Mariah Hobson (Princeton, Illinois) took a shot.
Anna Caster (Greenfield, Indiana) made seven saves in the first half and Bronte De Zwart (Adelaide, Australia) made five saves in the second half as Lake Forest took 33 shots, 19 on goal.Â
