The Monmouth College track and field teams competed in the Midwest Twilight Qualifier at Augustana College on Thursday with an eye on next week's NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. .
Women
Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) made the finals of the discus and finished eighth with a best throw of 43.99m on the day. That will leave her season best at 44.55m which entered the day in 18th place nationally.
In the shot put, Boley finished 16th with a best throw of 12.12m.
Addi Cox (Morton, Illinois) finished 17th with a throw of 11.98m and
Kayla Braun (Evansville, Illinois) was right behind her with a top throw of 11.86m.Â
Cox set a new career-high in the hammer throw. Her second throw of the day was 48.65m. The throw is the ninth-best in Monmouth history but a throw of at least 53.05m was needed to reach the top 20.Â
Amanda Dybal (Apex, North Carolina) set a new career high in this discus as her first throw of the day went 42.62m. Dybal finished 13th on the day and moved into 37th nationally..
Men
Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) finished 17th out of 30 in the shot put at 14.36m. He entered the event with a season beat of 14.95m in the shot and needed to go past 16.15m to have a chance at nationals.Â
Needing to increase his season best by nearly six meters, Toberman had three fouls in the hammer throw and did not advance to the finals.Â

The list of qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be announced on Friday. The top 20 competitors in every individual event qualify. The championships are May 25-27 at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex in Rochester, New York.
