The Monmouth College women's lacrosse team lost a non-conference game 19-4 at Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday. The game was a makeup contest that was originally postponed by inclement weather last month. 

After CUW scored the opener, Elizabeth Schmidt (Waverly, Iowa) tied the game with 5:55 to go in the first quarter. The hosts led 6-1 after the first quarter and eventually scored eight straight goals for a 9-1 lead. 

MacKenzie Holmes (Clive, Iowa) scored an unassisted goal with 10:12 to play in the half. CUW took a 12-2 lead into the half and scored the first four goals of the third quarter. Natalie Labicki (Antioch, Illinois) scored with 52 seconds left in the quarter, her second goal in as many games. 

The Scots trailed 19-3 when Holmes scored with 1:15 to play for the final goal of the game.

MONMOUTH MOMENTS: Lea Selquist (Peru, Illinois)  made eight saves and added three ground balls... Sydney Grant (Morton, Illinois) also had three ground balls and led the team with two caused turnovers...Schmidt has scored in all seven games and leads the Scots with 15 goals...Holmes also had two goals Saturday and now has eight on the season...Labicki added three ground balls...The Scots are next in action Tuesday at home with a MWLC contest against Lake Forest at 7 p.m.
