The Monmouth College men's and women's swimming teams both defeated Knox on Senior Day Saturday at Pepper Natatorium. The women won 139-38 while the men won 117-29.
Monmouth won 19 of the 20 events with Knox taking the women's 100 breaststroke. Multiple winners on the day in individual events for the men included
Kyle Jones (Parkland, Florida) in the 200 individual medley, the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke,
Tyler Davis (Beloit, Wisconsin) in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle and
Tristan Kennon (Flossmoor, Illinois) in the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke.Â
On the women's side,
Brooke McCormick (Metamora, Illinois) won the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke while
Jaidlyn Sellers (Tremont, Illinois) won the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke and
Kaitlyn Fox (Villa Park, Illinois) won the 50 freestyle and the 500 freestyle.Â
Lauren Fulscher (Moline, Illinois) won the 100 freestyle while
Daniel Kadlec (Justice, Illinois) won the 100 butterfly. The Scots won all four relay events on the day, two for the men and two for the women.
The Scots next get in the pool at the Midwest Conference Championships at Grinnell College February 18-20.Â
