Kara-Jade Gordon scored Monmouth's first and last goals on her way to an eight-goal game in the Scots' 13-11 win at Illinois Tech Saturday.

The Scarlet Hawks got on the board first, but Gordon answered with back-to-back goals minutes apart. Neither team could open a margin, but did open up the second half scoring after entering halftime with Monmouth leading 5-4.

Illinois Tech scored the first two goals of the second half, but the Scots reclaimed a 7-6 lead when
Amanda Green assisted on back-to-back goals from Gordon and
McKenzie DeVilder. IT countered to knot the game a minute later before the Scots went on a three-goal binge from
MacKenzie Holmes, Gordon and
Aspen Chadderdon for a 10-7 advantage with nearly 20 minutes left.
