Monmouth prepped for their upcoming league tournament by facing three scholarship schools at the McKendree Tournament last weekend.
    Â
The Scots dropped their opener to Salem International 18-10 on Saturday. Monmouth trailed 3-2 after the first quarter and 8-7 at the half before the Tigers began to open up the offense with a fourth-quarter flurry to offset a six-goal effort from
Becca Dabrowski.
    Â
Day 2 opened with a 14-7 loss to host McKendree. Monmouth never led in the game after the Bearcats took a quick 3-0 lead.
    Â
The weekend finished with a 13-3 loss to Mercyhurst. The Lakers inched ahead of the Scots in the first quarter and kept Monmouth at their lowest total score of the season.
    Â
Monmouth will meet Connecticut College Friday in the first round of the CWPA Championship Tournament.
