Box Score 2 The late innings doomed the Scots in Florida Wednesday when they openied the day with a 4-3 extra inning loss to Emmanuel and then dropped a 7-6 decision to New England in the seventh.

Jenna Pauley was locked in a pitchers' duel in the opener, going the distance in the eight-inning affair. Trailing 3-1 in the top of the fifth, the Scots rallied with three runs, taking advantage of an Emmanuel error to keep the inning alive.
Lauren Sperry delivered the big hit, a two-out, two-run double immediately after the Emmanuel miscue.
Kaelan Bradley followed with a base hit to plate Sperry. Emmanuel scratched out single runs in the fifth and sixth to knot the game at 3-3. The Scots opened the eighth putting runners at second and third with one out, but a foul-out and strikeout ended the chance. Emmanuel took advantage of the opening to score the winning run with a two-out base hit in the bottom of the frame.

New England jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second before the Scots came back with a solo run in the fourth and two more in the sixth to draw even at 3-3.
Alexis Opel – who collected three RBIs in the game – supplied two RBIs in the sixth to knot the game. New England jumped on the Scots with a four-run seventh to lead 7-3, but the Scots rallied again in the bottom of the inning as
Megan Corniels' single to right center drove in two before Monmouth's rally fell just a run short.
