Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Becca Gallis jacked three home runs as Monmouth slammed seven homeruns on Thursday to split their Florida twinbill and pull bck to .500 on the season. The Scots dropped the opener 8-4 to Finlandia University but rebounded with a 10-5 win over Lebanon Valley College in the late game.
 
The Scots couldn't recover after spotting Finn U. six runs – three earned – in the first two innings. Alison Trettin got two of the runs back in the third with a two-run homer and Gallis added her first roundtripper of the day in the fifth when the Scots plated a pair of runs to close the gap to 7-4. That would be the end of the Monmouth scoring as Finn U. retired seven of the last nine Scots' batters.
 
Monmouth ripped five homers against Lebanon Valley while scoring in each of the first five innings. Kaelan Bradley set the long ball tone, leading off the game with a solo shot before Savannah Ball drilled a two run bleacher reacher in the second. Winning pitcher Liz Hippen helped her own cause with a two-run shot in the third, just before Gallis drilled her first of two homers in the game for a 6-2 lead.
 
Gallis finished the day 5-for-8 at the plate with three home runs and three RBIs.
 
Friday's pair of games with Wartburg and Concordia of Chicago wrap up Monmouth's spring trip to Florida.
