Monmouth's women's water polo team got off to a perfect start in their conference season, finishing the opening weekend at the Connecticut College Round Robin 3-0.

The Scots opened play Saturday with a convincing 10-3 win over Grove City. Goals by
Becca Dabrowski and
Rachel Unger spotted Monmouth a 2-1 first quarter lead. Four Scots scored in the second frame as Monmouth opened up a 6-1 advantage to take the bite out of the Wolverines. Goalkeeper
Natalie Curtis ensured the win with a 17-save performance.

Monmouth rallied with four, fourth quarter goals to edge host Connecticut College in Saturday's second game. The Scots took a 3-2 first quarter lead on three Dabroswki goals, but found themselves trailing 5-4 at the half. The Camels kept that margin heading into the final quarter before the Scots got over the hump when
Esther Hubbard's second goal of the game knotted it at 6-6 just 30 seconds into the quarter and
Miranda Pasky's first score two minutes later put Monmouth ahead 7-6.
Emily Mathews added an insurance goal with three minutes left to seal the win.

Dabrowski tallied four more goals in Sunday's getaway game – an 8-2 win over Utica to even Monmouth's season at 3-3. The Pioneers jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal in the first minute before Monmouth came back with three unanswered scores to build a 3-1 halftime lead. Leading 4-2 entering the final quarter, Monmouth opened the gap with three goals in the final 3:18 to finish the weekend unbeaten in league play.

Monmouth returns home to host a four-team conference round robin the weekend of March 23-24 at the college's Pepper Natatorium.
