nd at the 36-team NCAA Midwest Regional held Saturday in Eau Claire, Wis.

Arika Hofmann turned in the Scots' top finish, placing 96
th in the field of more than 250 women. Hofmann toured the 6K course in 24:17.7.
Caroline Young and
Julia Sterr completed the lead pack, running a 24:33.4 and 24:36.6 to place 109
th and 113
th, respectively. Senior
Natalia Bobak and freshman
Mik Moore-Kaczmarek crossed the finish line just two seconds apart when Bobak clocked a 24:56.5 and Moore-Kacmarek ran a 24:58.4. Monmouth's team was rounded out by
Ezzie Baltierra-Chavez (25:35.7) and
Jessica Salinas (26:36.2).

Tate Heiple led a four-man pack that was separated by just 38 seconds in the men's 8K race. Competing against 250 other runners, Heiple placed 116
th with a 27:02.8, nearly 10 seconds ahead of his younger brother
Tanner Heiple's 27:12.3. Freshmen
Riley Dulin (27:32.5) and
Cooper Hoffmann (27:40.7) rounded out the first pack.
Griffin Morrill led the second pack with a 28:08.4, followed by
Caleb Kibling's 28:17.7 and
Mike Bersell's 28:04.9.

The team will resume competition when the indoor track season opens Jan. 11 at St. Ambrose.
