Box Score The defense ruled Tuesday night when Simpson clipped Monmouth 1-0 in Iowa.

A Red Storm goal in the 31st minute was the only blemish in the evenly matched game. Simpson held a slight 10-8 advantage in shots as the Scots put five shots on goal and the Storm six.

Freshman Kensey Arlt spent the full 90 minutes in goal for Monmouth, turning in a five-save performance. Monmouth threatened in the final minutes, but couldn't slip a shot past the Simpson 'keeper.

Monmouth will host a pair of games this weekend, entertaining Greenville Friday and Buena Vista on Saturday.
