Rebecca Gallis blasted a pair of homeruns on Senior Day, but it wasn't quite enough to give Monmouth's seniors a going away party after Ripon swept the Scots 2-1 in 10 innings and 5-3 in the late game.
Â
The Red Hawks touched starter
Liz Hippen for a solo run with a pair of hits in the fifth as neither team could mount much offense. Gallis sent the game into extra innings when she ripped a leadoff homer in the bottom of the seventh. Ripon threatened in the ninth before pushing across an unearned run in the 10
th and held on for the win.

Ripon jumped on Game 2 starter
Brianna Perschall for a pair of runs in the second with the aid of a pair of walks and a double. Monmouth answered with a single run in the bottom of the frame, but could not overtake the Red Hawks. Trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Gallis ripped her second round-tripper on the day, a towering shot to straightaway center with one out, cutting the deficit to 5-3. Â The Scots' chances of a second extra inning game faded when Ripon retired two of the next three batters to complete the sweep.

Monmouth will host St. Norbert Sunday at noon in the home season finale.
