Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Charlotte Park became Monmouth's all-time homerun leader as the Scots posted a 7-0, 4-1 road sweep of No. 18 Washington University.
 
Park's 22^nd career homer – a two-run shot in the fourth inning of Game 1 – gave her the program record and all the runs starter Liz Hippen would need in the upset of the Bears. Hippen scattered six hits and walked one as Monmouth's offense took advantage of a trio of Wash U. errors. Nursing a 2-0 lead in the seventh, the Scots tacked on five runs, two coming on a Morgan Throop single.
 
Brianna Perschall worked eight innings to get the win in the late game and Hippen closed it out for her sixth save as Monmouth completed the sweep. Tied 1-1 in the ninth, the Scots took advantage of a pair of Bears' errors to rally for three runs without the aid of a hit. Hippen then shut the door in the bottom of the frame, pitching around the Scots' third error of the game to give Monmouth their first back-to-back wins over a ranked team in the history of the program.
 
Monmouth will close out their home season Sunday with a 1 p.m. twinbill with Augustana.
