The Scots pounded three home runs in the opener, including two by
Charlotte Park to tie the Scots' career record of 21 round trippers. Pitcher
Liz Hippen fanned 10 and helped herself at the plate driving in three runs with a fourth inning single and a fifth inning double. Park's second bomb was part of a five-run sixth that ended via the mercy rule when pinch hitter Elena Sakallaropoulos launched a three-run shot off the scoreboard. Monmouth banged out 12 hits in the game which included a 4-for-4 performance from third baseman
Morgan Throop.

Monmouth picked up another 13 hits in the nightcap and jumped out to a 7-2 lead after three innings.
Kirsti Barton supplied the punch in the second and third innings, driving in three runs with a second inning double and a third inning single. Starter
Brianna Perschall scattered seven hits before handing the ball over to Hippen in the seventh with an 8-5 lead. Hippen closed out the game, fanning two and inducing the game-inning come-backer to earn her third save of the season and give Perschall her second win.

Park finished the twinbill 4-for-5 with three RBIs while
Johnna Schultz picked up four hits in eight at-bats with four runs scored.
